How to use smart devices safely for young generations?

Nowadays, the development of science and technology has brought various opportunities in our mundane lives, which enrich our ways of entertainment, apart from promoting work efficiency. Many adults are engaged in video games, not to mention their children, who are much easier to attract.

More and more children are indulging in playing games, even though there are laws and regulations released by the government and schools in order to control children's access to online games. The controversy over the advantages and disadvantages of long screen time has heated society. For a child or an adolescent, it is harmful to their health to spend too much time in front of a screen. The increasing numbers of those who wear glasses at school have hurt most parents' hearts, so the use of smart phones, pads, or laptops is prohibited by many primary and middle schools. However, computer science, as an important subject, has dominated almost all of school life. According to the latest research, it is beneficial for youngsters to spend appropriate time playing with computers every day. And many teachers encourage their students to complete and submit the daily assignments online through computers. So the usage of computers doesn't mean playing computer games. What the internet brings to us is totally dependent upon how we make use of it.

For example, the advent of the Kindle has built a bridge between all kinds of readers and international libraries. Hundreds of thousands of apps provide classical and popular e-books for Android and iOS users. Browsers like Chrome, Edge, etc. enable people to read online posts and papers as often as possible. Even the students at Peking University can access the doctoral theses of Cambridge through the internet if they have gotten the privilege.  What a brilliant era! Knowledge is accessible at any time.

Apart from playing games, gleaning knowledge and gaining information, we can also do other tasks, such as immediate communication, watching TV and movies, writing, editing, recording, etc. In order to interpret users' requirements to devices, software has been created by programmers, who are able to translate human languages to machine languages and paraphrase machine codes into what we can understand. Some of the tough jobs in ancient times have been simplified by these modern devices.

Therefore, allowing youngsters to use smart devices is vital for their future perspective. For instance, my cousin learnt the alphabet, pronunciations, phrases, and grammar at school, but had to look up the paper dictionary when writing an assignment, since all smart devices were forbit in her school. However, when students need to write an article for now, they may spend several hours searching on the internet for possible phrases or suggestions, or they may work on it efficiently by using software that can assist their writing and offer the suggestions automatically. In terms of the screen time limits for youngsters, that are usually formulated by their parents, work efficiency before the screen is crucial for a successful experience. Software like SpinnerChief, can save you time when you look for synonyms, antonyms, and proper grammar among dozens of books, and automatically gives users proper advice that is pretty valuable for students who are learning this language. When there is a grammar error in the writing, the software can provide a possible solution as well, which would greatly relieve the parents' stress.

Due to the fierce competition in current society, we have to let the younger generations catch up with the world's most advanced levels. Protecting the vulnerable young eyes, the proper use of healthy software is the way to improve youngsters' skills without wasting their precious time fumbling around.
